MagLite upgrade
In addition to the led bulb, I have replaced the 4D batteries by 3 x 3,7v rechargeable batteries ( Ultra fire 9000 mAh).
Maglite 4D upgrade
Replace the standard bulb by a LED: Good
Best is to make an insert to install in the battery compartment. This insert can accomodate 3 rechargeable 3,7v batteries, remaining space filled with a conductive dummy. You will have a torch lasting almost a year between charges.

I bought that to replace a led 3w 320 lumens bulb. 2 minutes to make the change, no tools needed and, as we say in french, cherry on the cake, I now own an up to date 6D Maglite with multi-mode function. Top !!!
WONDERFUL PRODUCT
It saved my old 3D Maglite which I was going
to get rid of. Instead I bought another incandescent Maglite so I could buy another of these inserts. Kelvin on this makes the light throw look natural, not too pale. The spill is the best part, wider than the original Maglite spill, and you can actually see what is in front of you. Not cheap but worth it IMHO. Very pleased with this very bright 5 star product.
Maglite LED upgrade delivers as a thrower
This is an affordable LED upgrade for 4-cell Maglites by retaining the classic conical look (as opposed to a triple LED combo-conversion). We tested the beam distance and it certainly has a 500m or quarter mile reach, even on standard D cells; we didn't test the luminosity. Quality material and good heat sinking make this a great choice!
A good buy from nice people:
Really a pleasure to buy from TorchUpgrades. The order was quickly handled, and when I understood I had ordered wrong, I received good and quick advice. I returned the wrong item while I ordered new one. New item arrived at my address in Norway at the same time as TorchUpgrades confirmed that the return of the wrong goods was received and my money refunded. Now I look forward to new and better light on my Mag 6D cell with new bulb and new lens. You do not put away a good old MagLite in the storage room - you upgrade it!

Bin sehr positiv überrascht von der Leistung des Modules. Passt sehr gut in meine Maglite 3D-Cell LED, die einfach nicht mehr zeitgemäß ist und mehr Power braucht. Garten ausleuchten klappt prima. Klarer Kauftipp. Kommunikation mit Anbieter Top. Lieferung dauerte ca 1 Woche.

AMAZING PERFORMANCE
Amazing performance
The replacement of the lamp and the original reflector by this upgrade is very simple.
It is only a matter of disassembling and placing the new set with the same original Lexan lens from my old and appreciated 3-cell D. Maglite.
I am an Aeronautical Technician and I always work with high quality parts and spare parts, I must say that this replacement is of aeronautical quality and I was pleasantly surprised.
Manufactured from a piece of aluminum with flap to dissipate the heat and has an excellent termination.
The difference of the light beam with the original lamp is AWESOME.
This is what is said in my country (Argentina), money well spent.
If you are thinking of a
Upgrade for your Maglite, do not hesitate, this is it.
